My daughter fell onto this toy and broke Mickey's head off. Luckily, she only wanted the toy because of the red car and has no idea who Mickey is, so she's not too upset.

 This highlights why I've never driven a Miata.  When your head is above the windshield some bad stuff can happen..  ;-)

We don’t have the same toy, but pretty much the same Mickey in a spaceship thing. His head came off in some enthusiastic handling by a two year year old. He asks about Mickey’s head sometimes, but doesn’t seem too concerned.  Guess it is what happens when you put an abnormally large head on a skinny neck.

Back in the day when I was in 5th grade, the pride and joy of L ego collection was the Space Shuttle and Cape Canaveral launch pad set. It took a couple of hours to build following the directions as a kid. One day while I was at school my Mom accidentally knocked it over while she was dusting. I came home to a story and profuse apologies , but it wasn’t a big deal because I got to build it all over again. Later that week we had to write a page long (!) creative story for school, and I wrote all about Hurricane (insert Mom’s name here ) and the havoc it wreaked on Cape Canaveral and the upcoming shuttle launch that couldn’t  be stowed away in time. It was the very best thing I had ever written up to that point, and I got a fantastic grade on it. I think we saved it, so if I went through my school stuff up in a closet at my parent’s house the complete story of Hurricane (insert Mom’s name here) as written by 10 year old ITA is almost certainly still there.
